Hotel Cellai
C. Italy: Tuscany: Florence
Situated in an 18th century palazzo, the Cellai was JDB's first three-star hotel in Florence. Only a short walk from the Duomo along Via Cavour, the hotel is family owned and managed. A unique feature is the roof terrace with awning covered wicker furniture and a bar with a view of the Duomo and Fiesole in the distance, an especially nice feature during warm weather months.
The Garibaldi Lounge and the Fireplace Lounge (great in cooler weather!) are comfortable areas for guests on the entry level. The breakfast room is sky lit making it bright and welcoming. Another special feature of the hotel is its lobby floor art exhibition that changes every three months. Bathrooms are tiled and very clean (it is obvious here that the housekeeper takes great pride in her work). Rooms are located on three floors and vary in size with some more spacious than others. All are equipped with satellite television and minibar. While there are no connecting rooms, there are a few rooms than can accommodate a third person.
Among the services provided for guests are a special garage parking rate, free internet point, complimentary afternoon tea-coffee service, a limousine booking service and courtesy bicycles.
NOTE: Three star hotels generally are not suitable for Deluxe clients.
