When booking Shore Excursions, please provide the name of the ship, with arrival and departure times from the port. Most vehicles used for shore excursions are Mercedes E-class, V-class & 16 seat minibuses. However, JDB Ground retains the right to substitute a different vehicle type if necessary. Tour itineraries are subject to change due to site closings, inclement weather, strikes or other unforeseen circumstances. JDB Ground reserves the right to substitute a venue or site during a tour in the event the scheduled site is not available. Entrance fees to museums and exhibits are not included in the rate unless indicated, nor are gratuities for drivers and guides. A Day in Capri 6 Hours Take the ferry to the port of Capri on your own to meet your guide and proceed by private boat (a traditional Caprese Gozzo) to circumnavigate the entire island and to visit its most spectacular grottoes - the Blue Grotto*, the White Grotto and the famous Faraglioni Rock Formations. Snack on fresh fruit and local wine, and wear your swimsuit so you can take a dip in one of the deserted coves. Then take the funiculare from Marina Grande up to Capri and walk to the Gardens of Caesar Augustus or the Punta Tragara. Other alternatives include a challenging walk to the Villa Jovis to visit the ruins of Tiberius' most important imperial villa; a visit to Villa San Michele with its famous gardens and museum; or a ride on the chair lift to the highest point of the island.
