JDB Tours do not have to be booked in conjunction with a hotel booking. Most vehicles used for tours are Mercedes E-class, Daimler-Chrysler C300, Mercedes V-class and the Volkswagen Caravelle. However, JDB Ground retains the right to substitute a different vehicle type if necessary. Tour itineraries are subject to change due to site closings, inclement weather, strikes or other unforeseen circumstances. JDB Ground reserves the right to substitute a venue or site during a tour in the event the scheduled site is not available. In rare instances it may be necessary to reschedule the starting time of the tour; in such situations, clients will be notified in advance.

Entrance fees to museums and exhibits are not included in the rate unless indicated, nor are gratuities for drivers and guides. Unless otherwise indicated in the tour description, from April through October tours begin at either 8:30 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. and are available daily. From November - March, unless otherwise indicated in the tour description, tours are available daily at 2:00 p.m. only. Preference for either morning or afternoon tour must be indicated at the time of booking. The guide will meet clients at their hotel, unless another meeting point is designated in the itinerary. Rates are subject to change.

In Paris, if necessary, travel to the starting point of the walking tour will be by taxi*. The guide will meet clients at their hotel and they will travel by taxi to the starting point of the tour; client pays the taxi directly.
* Private transfers can be arranged at additional cost.

Paris Museum Tour
4 Hours
Tour the highlights of either of two of the top museums in Paris, the Louvre or the Musée d'Orsay, with an expert guide.

Option 1: Musée du Louvre
Once a 16th century royal palace, the Louvre is one of the world's great museums, with priceless works from all over Europe and important collections of Assyrian, Egyptian, Greek, Coptic and Islamic art. Treasures include Venus de Milo, the crown jewels of France, Michelangelo's The Dying Slave; the 2nd century B.C. Winged Victory of Samothrace; Da Vinci's Mona Lisa.

Option 2: Musée d'Orsay
Located on the Left Bank, the d'Orsay is known for its superb collection of Impressionist paintings. Many important art collections from the period 1848 - 1914 were relocated to the museum in 1986, including the famous Impressionist works from the Jeu de Paume Museum. All the great names are here: Manet, Monet, Cézanne, Pissaro, Degas, Van Gogh, Gauguin.

Notre Dame and Ile de La Cité

Visit the world famous Notre Dame de Paris and see it, inside and out, with your expert guide. The tour starts in front of Notre Dame, at "point zero" of Paris, where you will enjoy many stories and legends about the history of the cathedral and its surrounding area. Then go inside to see its majestic interior and its celebrated Rose Window. Stroll through the flower market on your way to La Conciergerie, the medieval palace famous for having hosted Marie Antoinette during the French Revolution; see the cell where she spent the final days of her life. End your tour with a visit to the 13th century Gothic cathedral, Sainte Chapelle, with its magnificent stained glass windows.

Left Bank

Your walk begins in front of the 11th Century St. Germain Church, the oldest church in Paris. The famous cafes, Les Deux Magots and Café de Flore, favorite hang-outs of post war Left Bank intellectuals, are located here. Visit St. Sulpice, the church that has generated much interest since its mention in The Da Vinci Code. Enjoy hidden courtyards, fountains and street markets along the narrow streets en route to the St Michel district to see the Sorbonne and the Parisians' favorite park, Luxembourg gardens with its beautiful Palace.

Montmartre

This unusual tour will start at a quiet and quaint cemetery, the resting place of many Parisian artists in Montmartre, a village within Paris. Winding up the charming streets past Le Lapin Agile and the last remaining vineyard in Paris, we reach Sacre Coeur- a tourist favorite - and enjoy a panoramic view of the city below. Place du Tertre is still very busy with modern day artists of all kinds. Sculptures, romantic cafes, cobble stoned streets, windmills and landmarks used in many movies will enchant you on your way down. All together a great walk off the beaten path.

Le Marais

Enjoy a beautiful part of the city that is often overlooked by visitors, the Marais. Begin your walk at La Place des Voges, the entry gate of this historical district. Walk its narrow streets full of history, and see large mansions (hotels particuliers) now converted into museums, medieval houses, an ancient city wall, a fascinating church, the Jewish quarter with an art nouveau synagogue, art galleries and antique shops along with trendy designer boutiques and gourmet shops. The walk will end on the Ile St. Louis.

Shopping in Paris

See some of Paris' favorite sights and discover the fabulous gourmet food and wine, fashion and accessories, gifts and decorative items that make Paris world famous. Begin at Place de l'Alma and walk Avenue Montaigne and Rue du Faubourg St Honoré, the locations of many of Paris' couture fashion houses. Stroll from the Elyses Palace, crossing the Rue Royale to Rue de Castiglione, and then to the jewelry shops of Place Vendome and Rue de la Paix. The tour will end at Place de l'Opéra or in front of the Printemps / Galeries Lafayette department stores.

The Highlights of Paris
8 Hours
Your private driver and guide will meet you at your hotel at 8:30 a.m. for a full day tour of Paris. Begin your visit with a panoramic view from its most famous landmark, the Eiffel Tower. Then board the Bateaux Mouches for a one hour and 10 minute cruise on the River Seine to view its 32 bridges and the main monuments of the city. Next, drive to Concorde Square, the Champs Elyses, the Arc de Triomphe, Pigalle, the Moulin Rouge and then the famous Rue Lepic to Montmartre and the Bonne Franquette restaurant for a light lunch with a glass of wine. Enjoy a walking tour of the village of Montmartre including the Sacre Coeur Basilica with its breathtaking view over the city, the last remaining vineyards in Paris and the Place du Tertre, historically a place where artists have painted and still busy with modern day artists.
